Subject(s): Summary: For any profession, leadership at all levels is key to meeting its intended objectives and achieving growth. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (the Academy) has defined leadership as "the ability to inspire and guide others toward building and achieving a shared vision." This is a broad and appropriate definition for dietetics because of the breadth of practice within the profession. This definition also allows space for relevant and specific leadership language to be developed for distinct areas of dietetics practice.
