Subject(s): Summary: The study was conducted to find out the relationship of socio- demographic factors and emotional quotient of the selected BS Psychology Students of Southville International School and Colleges Enrolled for Second Semester, 2011-2012. The researchers used of the following instruments in gathering the data needed for the completion of the research project. a. Socio-Demographic Questionnaire: will be questions in gender, age, year level & GPA. b. Bar on Emotional Quotient Inventory: Youth version (Dr. Reuven Bar-On and Dr. James D.A. Parker), an instrument to measure the emotional and social functioning of youth aged 7-18. Consist of 30 items. The results of the study showed that more than half of the respondents (54%) belonged to the age group 18-10. Majority of the respondents (60%) were male. Most of the respondents (38%) were in second year. Most of the respondents (34%) have satisfactory GPA. In terms of the emotional quotient profile of the respondents, almost all got the area for enrichment for intrapersonal, interpersonal, stress management, and adaptability skills. All of the respondents got high in the positive impression skills. When grouped according to age, the oldest in the group got the lowest in adaptability skill, while those in age range 20-21 years old got the highest in stress management. When grouped according to gender, the female group got the highest both in stress management and adaptability. The fourth year students got the highest in stress management and the second year students got the lowest in adaptability skills. Those with fair GPA got the highest in intrapersonal skills while those who failed got the lowest in both interpersonal and adaptability skills.
