Subject(s): Summary: The study aims to assess the student learning in four (4) major psychology subjects. The subjects were PSY 2 (Theories of Personality), PSY 7 (Group Dynamics), RES 1 (Research in Psychology) and PSY 20 (Health in Psychology). The study compared performance of students on a diagnostic test (pretest) and on an achievement test (posttest). These two (2) examinations serves as pretest and posttest performance of students in the psychology subjects. Each subject was represented by an academic level. The study suggests that learning was achieved on all four (4) subjects as posttest scores were generally higher than pretest scores. From the study, it is suggested that similar testing be done to other psychology subjects to verify learning in these subjects. It is also recommended that multiple choice items be used to somehow standardized these examinations.
