The study determined the nursing care in the prevention of Catheter Acquired Urinary Tract Infection in Bicol Regional Training and Teahing Hospital. Specifically, it also sought answers to the following questions: 1.) What is the profile of nurses in Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital in terms of: a.) age, b.) gender, c.) civil status, d.) educational attainment, e.) number of years in service, and f.) trainings attended, 2.) What is the appraisal of the respondents of the nursing care management in the prevention of catheter acquired urinary tract infection (CAUTI) along a.) knowledge on cause of CAUTI, b.) proficiency in urinary catheter insertion, c.) efficiency in handling of indwelling catheter, d.) level of knowledge on catheterization and CAUTI?, 3.) Is there significant relationship in the nursing management care in the prevention of CAUTI when grouped according to profile?, and 4.) What nursing management guide can devised based from the findings of this study?
