This qualitative study was an attempt to identify the oral and gesticulatory communication pattern of "Takatak" vendors of Biñan City, Laguna, its differences from the Universal Communication Pattern by Bethge Wolfgang and if the subjects undergo style adjustment during conversations. The research methodologies used in the study were ECCO Analysis and conversation analysis. The study revealed that the "Takatak" vendors conversed only within a cordial atmosphere, only after a pre-conversation preceded the conversation proper. In some instances, the subjects shuttered and made unnecessary utterances. Nodding of the head up, constant eye-contact, prolonged opening of the mouth and fidgeting behavior were also observed during the course of the study. There were slight differences between the subjects' pattern of communication with that of the Universal Communication Pattern (UCP). There were no significant adjustments made by the subjects during conversations; however, slight changes in physical response and tone in voice were observed when questioned regarding their job.
