LARGA: A Community-Cased Traffic Situation Monitoring and Booking App for Tricycle Operators and Drivers within Pasay City aims to automate a certain form of transportation such as tricycles. LARGA helps the tricycle commuting to be more convenient to both commuters and drivers. It has the ability to book a tricycle for commuters, to accept passenger, for drivers, to monitor the traffic situation by reporting to the admin, and to notify all the users, and to contact emergency hotlines around the city.
The system was designed and coded in Android Studio and Java. The commuters are able to book a tricycle, search for the TODA Terminals nearby and deny or cancel a book in case of inconvenience. The drivers, on the other hand, are able to accept a booking, look for their routes, ask fellow drivers for help, report the traffic situation in an area and any other road situation. The admin can receive, accept, and broadcast the alerts for all the users weather they are drivers or commuters. They can also monitor the listed names of the users in drivers and commuters separately. They can view the driver’s information such as name, TODA color and TODA number. The researchers have developed the Larga Application for Tricycle Drivers and Commuters limited in Pasay City. To lessen the hassle of riding a tricycle and to provide convenience to both drivers and commuters. The researchers recommend this capstone project for booking a tricycle faster for more convenience. The results of the evaluation conducted by the researchers of three groups of respondents, The Drivers, Commuters, Admins. It obtained a mean rating of 4.7 from the Drivers, 4.7 from the Commuters, and 4.7 from the Admins. The application is capable to perform the entire desired task, and it is user friendly.
