The Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC), recently held in Washington DC, produced a flurry of press releases. In addition, awareness of the prevalence and significance of AD, especially to the aging baby boomer population, continues to spark tremendous interest in the subject. Data presented at the conference reported that current predictions indicate that more than 28 million U.S. baby boomers will develop AD between now and mid-century.
