The research paper entitled “Study on the Problems Encountered by Select Local Lending Institutions in Relation to Informal Lending Scheme in Pasay City: Inputs to Enhance Local Lending Practices” is conducted in order to obtain a solutions regarding on the problems brought by the informal lending scheme to the operation of the small and local lending institutions in Pasay city. The purpose of the entire study is to understand why most of the debtors prefer to borrow money from the informal lending scheme rather than registered lending institutions despite the fact that they offer the same services. Finally, the study’s primary goal is to offer solutions and recommendations that formal lending institutions can use to enhance their current lending practices.
