The study was conducted to enlighten the researchers, the respondents, and the
readers on the factors that affect the investment decisions and the willingness to invest in
investment products of public elementary school teachers specifically in Pasay City.
People reclined into the financial field most certainly know the value and importance of
investing. However, according to Grant (2014), many public school teachers are not
giving emphasis on their future financial plan; hence, not realizing the future benefits of
investment. This mindset gives way to a meaningful study that may lead to brighter days
for the future investors.
The research aimed to determine whether the investment risk, risk appetite, and
the company's status influence the investment decision of the respondents and the willingness of the respondents to invest in equity fund, balanced fund, bond fund, money market fund, and index fund. Also, to know whether there is a significant difference in the factors of investment decision and the investment products the respondents are willing to invest when both grouped according to the respondents’ demographic profile. A quantitative research method was used; a descriptive approach was used to describe the results of the study. The researchers used purposive sampling to gather respondents that are limited to: Regular Teachers and Master Teachers particularly in public elementary schools in Pasay City. The researchers collected one hundred (100) respondents. Data were gathered from the respondents through a survey questionnaire that measures the
influence of the factors affecting the investment decision and the willingness to invest in the investment products. The statistical treatments used were frequency distribution, mean, one-way ANOVA, standard deviation, and 4-point Likert scale.
